The Esztergom Castle is one of the oldest stone castles in Hungary. By visiting its rooms, which survived the Turkish wars, we can recall the everyday life of the Middle Ages. In the Great Hall, we can admire the remains of one of the largest guest palaces. Our royal chapel is also the first example of Gothic architecture in Hungary. What luxury: even the walls of our cistern are covered in red marble!

In the City of Saint Stephen: Herend 200 – Grand Opening of the Anniversary Exhibition

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory, a special bicentenary exhibition will open at the MNM Esztergom Castle Museum.
