The Esztergom Castle is one of the oldest stone castles in Hungary. By visiting its rooms, which survived the Turkish wars, we can recall the everyday life of the Middle Ages. In the Great Hall, we can admire the remains of one of the largest guest palaces. Our royal chapel is also the first example of Gothic architecture in Hungary. What luxury: even the walls of our cistern are covered in red marble!

Please be informed that on June 20, 2026, on the occasion of the Night of Museums, our museum will open at 6:00 PM. The museum will remain closed during the daytime hours on this date.

Ticket purchase:

Adult ticket: 2000 FT
Children ticket (6-18 age): 1000 FT

Online tickets purchased for the Night of Museums can be exchanged for wristbands at the Castle Museum ticket office from June 2, 2026, during regular opening hours.
